註釋
Evidence suggests that there is a connection both with increased cellular activity and blood supply and the formation of microcalcifications in malignant breast tissues. In addition morphometric analysis of microcalcification clustering using soft x-ray microradiography was performed on a total of 157 excised breast specimens from 84 patients. The existence of significant differences between the three identified categories (fibrocystic change, benign and malignant tumours) were indicated by clustering parameters. This study suggests and association between the elemental composition of breast tissues and the formation of breast particles. That is elevations of elemental concentration and clustered calcifications in breast are possibibly related. [Authors' abstract].
