註釋
Artist and versatile cartoonist, Ernesto "EL Chango" García Cabral was born in Huatusco, Veracruz. Considered one of the best cartoonists of the 20th century and the greatest representative of Art Deco in Mexico, his most celebrated period took place in the 1920s and 1930s, when he collaborated in Revista de Revistas, weekly publication of the Excelsior publishing group. As a cartoonist, he had a prolific and uninterrupted career over six decades (1908-1968). This is García Cabral's second major exhibition in Guanajuato after the tribute at the Festival Internacional Cervantino (FIC) in 2005. This exhibition creates a dialogue between the 87 works of 'Chango' García Cabral accompanied with a with a selection of photographs of his fiend, noted muralist Diego Rivera, belonging to the collection of this museum.
