Theoretical Response of the Deep River Neutron Monitor to an Anisotropic Solar Cosmic-ray Event
註釋The response of the Deep River, Canada neutron monitor to an anistropic flux of solar cosmic rays is a function of the viewing direction of the detector through the magnetosphere, as defined by the asymptotic cone of acceptance, and the interplanetary direction and spatial distribution of the flux anisotropy. Using a mathematical model of the magnetosphere, the authors have calculated the viewing directions for Deep River as a function of time and evaluated the response of the neutron monitor to various solar cosmic-ray anisotropies propagating along the ecliptic plane.
