John Enzweiler, born about 1828 in Prussia, immigrated from Antwerp, Belgium to New York City in August 1854. He applied for citizenship in Crown Point, Lake County, Indiana, on 9 Oct 1858. He married Katherine Liesenfeld, daughter of John Liesenfeld and Katherine Kreitz, on 6 March 1856 in Lake County, Indiana. John Enzweiler died in 1865 and Katherine Liesenfeld Enzweiler died 19 July 1915. They are the grandparents of Frank Ensweiler. Their descendants reside in Indiana, Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin, and other areas of the United States.
