註釋This document provides an overview of apprenticeship programs in Alberta, including an explanation of the requirements for apprenticeship which includes finding an employer who will pay their wages and provide on-the-job training and work experience. The graduate of the Cabinetmaker apprenticeship program is a certified journeyperson who will, among other things, know the characteristics of wood, wood products or substitutes used in industrial woodworking, be proficient with the safe use of hand tools, powered machines and equipment used in industrial woodworking, relate to job situations and other trades that precede or follow, and know techniques for assembly and installation of hardware and other components.--Document.
