Areas de impunidad
註釋This book is an essay on the relationship between theory and practice, on the ways in which architecture and criticism can be mutually nurturing. It is, in a sense, an attempt to build an argument against dissociation in the work of the architect, defining a position of unstable equilibrium with one foot in and one foot out of the accepted practices of spatial production. It is not, then, an essay on the merits of 'assimilation' or 'resistance', but on the virtues of ambiguity, the functioning of pragmatism, of pleasure in work: of the possible ways of perpetuating architecture as a socially desirable artistic practice. It brings together projects, works, articles, installations and lectures realized between 1992 and 1997 by Inaki Abalos, Juan Herreros and their collaborators, as well as the written contributions of Angel Borrego, Luis Gordillo, Julio Morencos and Kee Ness & Soui Yho.
