註釋Chiefly, a record of descendants of John Sowerby who was born at Stoke Newington on June 5, 1787. He was the eldest son of James Sowerby. John married Mary Ann Edwards on September 25, 1813. They had at least one child. John died in London on August 26, 1871. Other descendants emigrated to America. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, Maine, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Michigan, Mississippi, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and elsewhere.
