Griffin Families Marry
註釋This supplement is an addendum to chapter 3 of work entitled: Griffin families marry / by John R. Griffin. Grants Pass, Ore. : J.R. Griffin, c1987. This addendum contains new information about the maternal Griffin ancestors of the author, since the Griffin surname runs in both paternal and maternal lines. Most of the new genealogical data concerns the ancestors of George Washington Griffin (1812-1876), who emigrated from Ontario, Canada to Fox Lake, Wisconsin, and later moved to Tulare County, California. He was a direct descendant of Edward Griffin Sr. (b.ca. 1602), who immigrated from Wales to Flushing, Queens, New York, and who was a son of John Griffith and Ann Langford. Some descendants of Edward Sr. had immigrated to Ontario after the Revolutionary War, and some of these later moved to British Columbia. Others immigrated back to the United States, living in Wisconsin, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon and elsewhere.
