Eschatological Symbolism in the Vatican Necropolis
註釋"While recognizing its limitations, the present study ventures to present an analysis and a brief synthesis of some of the lines along which the complex problem of man's eschatological reality has been developed and a solution attempted. Our contact with certain elements of pre-Christian figural and architectural funerary art will lead us to analyze elements of the burial customs of certain civilizations - the Egyptian and the Jewish, as well as the Etruscan - which influenced the Roman world and left traces in the Vatican Necropolis."--Introduction
