註釋This teachers' book is designed to help young people to understand the key political, social and economic forces which will shape their lives. It aims to develop knowledge and skills to help young people understand the world in which they live, and to participate in it as knowledgeable global citizens. It is not prescriptive but aims to provide teachers with a practical and flexible resource. The book covers every aspect of work, from personal work issues, such as discrimination and health and safety, through to more global ones, such as migrant worker and child labour. Each topic includes case studies and glossary boxes, and is linked to a selection of student activities and related resources. The resources have been selected to complement the book and recognize that many teachers will want to teach some of the issues introduced here in more depth. Tried and tested websites are also listed.
