Personal Peripherals
註釋Wetware refers to either the human brain/nervous system or hardware that incorporates biological components. It is claimed that this term represents one of the characteristic ambivalences of our time: the belief that either life processes and consciousness can be simulated or it is not possible to reproduce them mechanically. The poems of Personal Peripherals suppose a possible future of wetware fixes for psycho-social problems, and the tension (or slippage of meaning) between each title and the body of each peripheral creates a complex tone that ranges among cynicism, humour, anger and passion.
