Letters of David Watson
註釋Chiefly addressed to his mother, Mrs. Susan D. Watson, of Trevilian's Depot, Louisa County, Virginia, and occasionally to his sister. Earliest letters were written on a trip to New Orleans, Montgomery, Charleston, etc., and contain family and general news of the seceding South. Later letters as lieutenant and captain of Second Company, Howitzers, 1st Virginia Artillery. The winter months were spent at Ship Point, Virginia, and then in the Shenandoah Valley, and near Fredericksburg, Virginia.
