註釋In 1576 the city of Strasbourg held a shooting-match which lasted several months. On June 20 citizens of Zürich rowed a boat down the Rhine to Strasbourg to deliver a gift of "hirsbrey" (millet gruel) to symbolize friendship between the citizens of Strasbourg and the citizens of Zürich.
