註釋Memoirs of a Jew born in 1917 in Amsterdam. Relates his activities, in cooperation with Dutch Jews and other resistance groups, in rescuing Jews from deportation. In order to avoid deportation himself, he obtained exemption by working for the Jewish Council. In September 1943 he and his wife went into hiding in Apeldoorn and the surrounding area, where he joined the LO-LKP group and assisted in the publication of an illegal newspaper.
