Moros y judíos en Navarra en la baja Edad Media
註釋Pp. 1-139, by García-Arenal, deals with the Muslims in Navarre. Pp. 143-257, by Leroy, "Los judíos de Navarra al final de la Edad Media", first appeared in French in the "Revue des Études Juives" 140, 1981. Pp. 143-196 contain a general description of the Jewish presence in Navarra under the tolerant French kings. also states that many times the royal authority had to protect Jews against popular outbursts and pogroms, such as in Estella and Pamplona in 1328. In 1492 Jews were prohibited from working on Sundays and on Christian holidays. Under papal pressure, King Jean d'Albret was forced to expel the Jews from Navarra in 1498, but the real exclusion was enforced through the register of all the Conversos according to the "limpieza de sangre" statutes in 1521 under the Spanish kings. Pp. 201-249 contain 37 Spanish documents.
