The purpose of the report is to indicate a method for improving driver's vision in tanks. Means for more practical utilization of available vertical field of vision through tank driver's periscope is desired. Recommendations are made that a spring device similar to that described in the Appendix be developed as a field fix on present vehicles to permit the driver to rotate his periscope on its axis by head pressure alone.
