註釋When I was growing up, I would have given anything to have a book that was passed down from mother to child. That is one of the things that inspired me to write this book. I hope that this book becomes a family hand-me-down for my readers and that, for younger generations, reading it will be like reading with the ones we have loved who have passed on to glory. This is a book that I hope all ages will enjoyait is full of some things that are funny and some that are sad. However, most of all, I think that it does show value for life. I think that in all books there should be something that gives pleasure to the reader. I hope this will be the one that will do this for you. Some of my poems are for the very, very young, and there are others that even people my age would like. I am sure that, if you take the time to read this book, you will find that you will get a laugh or two. In addition, you even may shed a tear or two. I do hope that you will get pleasure from it. I tell others of my books so that maybe everyone can have a smile, for that is the greatest gift that we can give to another person.
