註釋John Sowa (1826-1876) married Mary Shefsiek (ca. 1834-1867). In 1856, they immigrated from Poland to Indianola, Texas. After Mary's death, John married Amelia Zoworka in 1868, and they moved from Victoria to St. Hedwig in Bexar County. Descendants remained chiefly in Texas.
