Bernard Queneau Papers
註釋The Bernard Queneau Papers include photographs, publications, and documents relating to Queneau's employment as Chief Metallurgist and Quality Assurance Manager at U.S. Steel between 1951 and 1977. The bulk of this material comprises articles and speeches written by Queneau. A photograph album and manuscript in the collection pertain to Queneau's participation in an Eagle Scout cross-county trip on the Lincoln Highway in 1928. The photograph album, which was compiled and indexed by Queneau, includes images depicting the scouts at various camps and landmarks. The manuscript is a copy of one written by Edward Pratt, a fellow participant in the trip, detailing the scouts' experiences. Also included in the collection is a book, "The Lifetime Achievements of Bernard Queneau," written by Queneau's third wife, Esther Oyster Queneau. The Bernard Queneau Papers collection features a photo album of an 1928 Eagle Scouts roadtrip on the Lincoln Highway. The photographs were taken by Carl Zapffe (2015.0137), who later gave his photo album to Bernard Queneau.
