Explicit feature recognition from boundary representation
註釋In the report, our algorithm for explicit feature extraction and classification from boudary representation is presented. It operates in two phases: the topological and the geometrical, and classifies extracted featuresinto eight classes. While the topological part is just the adaptation of the algorithm described by De Floriani, the geometrical part which distinguishes between the features filled by material and the empty ones, was completely developed by us. the algorithm successfully and efficiently handles nested features and many cases of mutual feature cross-sections. When the geometric constraints are employed on extracted features, an efficient tool for manipulation of mechanical parts is obtained.
