Samuel is an outside cat at a house where the people do not want another inside cat. One day he slips through the door but everything is being moved out and he finds himself locked in an empty house. In the confusing days that follow, he finds himself outside and then inside once again, and finally in a snug cheerful home that makes it all worth the trouble.
