This letter in Dutch is dated 18 February 1864, is addressed to an unidentified male, and declines an offer for the writer's portrait to appear in the Aurora almanak, as it had already appeared in its forerunner Muzen almanak. The writer promises, however, to offer Aurora almanak a poem should he write one, and discusses his health and the weather, as well as commenting on a novel sent to him by ten Brink. This item bears the earlier collection number (accession number) M5460, and is accompanied by a printed transcription and translation in English by Professor Marita Mathijsen-Verkooijen.
