Catalogo della Biblioteca Foscarini ai Carmini
註釋Sale catalog of the celebrated Biblioteca Foscarini, one of the oldest, richest, and most important private collections in Venice, begun by the Venetian doge, Marco Foscarini. The library was being sold to pay off the financial debts of the Foscarini family. Terms of the sale, conducted by Antonio Nordio, procurator-general of the Casa Foscarini, are outlined on p. vi-viii. Books for sale are arranged alphabetically by author or title within seven categories: Greek and Latin authors; Italian authors; French authors; Spanish authors; English authors; incunables (15th-cent.) in Latin and Italian; and Aldine editions.
