Geologic Structure Stability and Deep Protection Construction
註釋A study is made of the problems associated with protective construction in rock, particularly deep protective structures. Information drawn from the experience of mining engineers and from past weapons tests is given on rock structure and properties and on theories relating these to the stability of underground openings under both static and dynamic loads. Recommendations are made for meeting design problems for underground protective structures and for research to improve the reliability of the designs.
