註釋Presents eyewitness accounts by nine Romanian Holocaust survivors, which trace the history of the Jewish community in Romania from the end of the 19th century until its final decimation through emigration to Israel between 1950-83. The accounts are based on interviews, reworked by the editors. Pp. 55-83, "Les temps de persécutions", focus on the Holocaust period, recounting the experiences of Liviu Beris, Leonard Zăicescu, and Devy Abraham. Pp. 5-26, "Les oubliés de l'histoire", discuss the silence regarding Romania's role in the Holocaust that prevailed there from the end of the war until the beginning of the 21st century, when the Holocaust began to be processed, as well as the fate of the Jewish community from the 1950s on.
