註釋When considering "What is Truth?" as did Pontius Pilate when he inquired of Jesus the same phrase, demonstrates to us all that one can be staring absolute Truth in the face but utterly miss the mark! When Jesus declared: "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life" (John 14:6), He did so in accordance with John's announcement: "For the law was given through Moses, but grace and TRUTH came through Jesus Christ." How could this be when the Law was the very character of Almighty God--in fact: Truth? Yet, Jesus said of those who "pored over the Scripture for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not wiling to come to Me that you may have life" (John 5:39-40). You see, as Henry Hon brings out--one can delve into the objective Scripture--pore over them--but completely miss the One of Whom they bespeak! Indeed, the very Person and Work of Jesus Christ is the nexus of true Christianity--at its core. Jesus, as the eternal Son of God was incarnated as a Man--He was always the Son of God--now He became the Son of Man--the Second Adam. His incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension and now the Outpoured Spirit. ALL attest to His Person and Work. These two chapters (3 & 4) of ONE TRUTH, may be the most important section of the entire Hon Trilogy.
