Land and Maritime Zones of Peace in International Law
註釋This book is a comprehensive and scholarly treatment of the attempts made in the past few decades both inside and outside the United Nations to create 'zones of peace' in various parts of the world. The author analyses current declarations and proposals for both land and maritime zones of peace, and assesses some of the legal questions to which they give rise. The first book of its kind on this relatively little explored area of international law, it examines the creation and status of zones of peace in the light of state practice and the relevant principles of international law. Based on this examination Dr Subedi identifies, through a thorough analysis of certain already extant and emerging rules of international law, situations under which both land and maritime zones of peace could be created.
