Wadlington in Virginia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi
註釋A compilation of updated information about the Wadlington name in the United States which acknowledges and builds upon past genealogical study of the family line. Starting with Thomas "Ole Tom" Wadlington (1715-1777), this text traces the family through its travels from Virginia, to South Carolina and Kentucky, through Alabama to Mississippi and parts of Texas. This book is unique in that its primary focus is on one particular son of "Ole Tom" Wadlington, his son Edward Wadlington (1751-1790), and his descendants. While several of Edward's brothers became legendary pioneers of Kentucky, Edward's sons traveled through five states in the pursuit of land and wealth, before settling in Mississippi and the then-Independent Republic of Texas. A section of this book connects the Wadlingtons to several allied family lines: Wiatt, George, Whitson, Bird, Thompson, Emerson, Goza, Womack, Wall and Gee. The book's authors are very distant cousins, of very different ages, both descendants of Edward Wadlington.
