Robin White, New Zealand Painter
註釋"Robin White is one of New Zealand's leading contemporary painters. She lives on the peninsula at Portobello, near Dunedin, and her paintings, prints and drawings over the last few years have been primarily concerned with the landscape in which she lives and the people whom she knows and loves. Formerly she lived on the Paremata inlet just north of Wellington, and Auckland. Then she was concerned with the Porirua hills, the Mana railway station and places she knew well, like the old boarding house at Mangaweka. Robin White's paintings have had a strong effect on a whole generation, To many people, her images have come to mean New Zealand. This book is the story of Robin White's painting to date. It includes over thirty five high quality reproductions of her best paintings and prints from 1968-1981. It includes a lengthy interview with her, a critical discussion of her work by Gordon Brown, and a full illustrated catalogue of all paintings and prints completed in her painting career"--Dust jacket.
