Hellenistische Kohlenbecken mit figürlich verzierten Attaschen aus Knidos
註釋Recent excavations at Knidos uncovered a number of Hellenistic braziers, comprising a tall, cylindrical stand and a bowl to which decorative elements could be attached. This report describes the iconography of these braziers, which can be found across the Hellenistic world during the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, comparing the types of elaborate terracotta attachments that can be found, many of which depict divine or demonic heads. Sahin also considers the trade of braziers, the reasons for their decline as well as their domestic and ritual functions.
