William Coppedge (ca.1646/1648-1700) immigrated about 1662 from England to Northumberland County, Virginia. Charles Coppedge, the fifth child of William was born about 1687 in Northumberland Co., VA. He married Lucy Lunsford. They were the parents of eight children. Their eldest son William who died in Missouri in 1853 and his descendants are the focus of this work. Descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California and elsewhere.
