註釋Abstract: This publication is a textbook for medical students and health care professionals who communicate with Spanish-speaking patients in hospitals, clinics, and offices. The primary objective is to develop oral proficiency in Spanish. The book has been conceived as a reader which focuses on communication among professionals and patients. Intercultural issues are continuously explored in the text. Role playing is used to provide communicative activities with students assuming the roles of doctor and patient. Each chapter is divided into topical sections which begin with a dialogue, reading or interview. Most dialogues and interviews are available on cassette tape to enhance home study.
