Hypermedia in Teleteaching
註釋Abstract: "Integration of hypermedia into electronic learning systems has been hailed as a major contribution to CAI. In this paper, we outline hypermedia principles and show how learning environments can benefit from them. While the model that we present can be efficiently implemented on a single computer or a local network, its direct extension to wide area networks presents a communication problem. This is because hypermedia systems contain very large amounts of information whose transmission over long distances is limited by the speed and cost of the communication medium. Under present conditions in which transmission is usually over relatively slow telephone lines, the use of hypermedia for long distance education thus appears questionable.
