Self-inflicted Deaths in Australian Prisons
註釋This study investigated risk factors for recidivism among parolees. Using data from the Queensland Corrective Services Integrated Offender Management System, for offenders released from adult prisons on a parole order in Queensland from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2009, it examined whether parolees can be divided into distinct classes of offenders according to their recidivism profiles, and, if so, which offender characteristics explain recidivism. The study identified 3 profiles that fit the data - a low-risk (slow recidivist) group, a moderate-risk (delayed recidivist) group, and a high-risk (rapid recidivist) group. Characteristics investigated include age, gender, Indigenous status, relationship status, and sentence length.
