The Marriage that Did Succeed for Mary, Queen of Scots
註釋The Deppa/Depo/Deppo/Dieppois family, with its various other spellings, has its origins when Mary Queen of Scots hired a stable boy for her triumphal return from France to Scotland in 1561. The young man was from Dieppe, France but was recorded with the last name of Depo by a Scottish paymaster. The young man was named André but the Scottish spelled it Hendre. He married an unnamed Lady-in-Waiting of Queen Mary. They were the parents of nine children. Descendants live in Scotland, England, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
