Shipping and Trade in the Java Sea Region, 1870-1940
註釋The Java Sea Region was the scene of increasing flows of shipping and trade during the late colonial period. It was an arena of intense competition between Indonesian, Chinese, and European shipping, in both foreign and interregional trade. This dynamic process can now be studied in detail for the first time on the level of individual ports.
