註釋 In an environmental overview of the proposed Murphy Creek development conducted by B.C. Hydro biologists in 1979, it was identified that the sport fishery along the Columbia River may well be the most important environmental resource component within the project area. During Stage II of the evaluation process, B.C. Hydro retained a team of consultants to conduct detailed environmental and socio-economic studies leading to anassessment of the impacts of hydroelectric development on the Columbia River in the vicinity of Murphy Creek. R.L. & L. Environmental Services Ltd. was responsible for undertaking the"fisheries and aquatic habitat" component of these studies. This document presents and discusses the results of studies conducted in 1980 and 1981. An assessment of the probable impacts of the development and the potential mitigation options, based on available information, is also provided.
