註釋Abstract: A book on the interpretation of transactional analysis (TA) is concerned with its application to the daily life of the average person. Case studies are used to illustrate how TA provides people with a rational method for analyzing and understanding behavior. Gestalt-therapy (GT) supplements the TA theory; GT techniques provide people a useful method for discovering fragmented parts of their personality, integrating them; and developing a core of self-confidence. Both TA and GT are concerned with discovering and fostering awareness, self-responsibility, and genuineness. To accomplish this the book is divided into 10 chapters covering: winners and losers; an overview of TA; stroking; life scripts; parent ego; child ego; identity; stamp collecting and game playing; adult ego states; and autonomy and adult ethics.
