I am setting out to write my memoirs with the rigid purpose of telling the truth to the best of my know ledge. But I cannot expect to accomplish what none of us can accomplish, unless the intelligent faculty should be rendered more comprehensive. I shall fail in rehearsing some things correctly, no doubt but it shall not be wilfully, or from intention.
