Observations and test results from the 1969 test voyage of the S.S. Manhattan are summarized by members of the test team. The icebreaking and maneuvering capabilities of the ship are analyzed and ther performace of the hull shape, hull structure, main propulsion system, roll system, and auxillary systems are discussed.
