註釋"This document is the Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (ATBD) for the next generation of Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES-R) Legacy Atmospheric Profile (LAP) and derived products generation. It is a high level description and the physical basis for the physical retrieval of atmospheric temperature and moisture profiles with infrared (IR) radiances measured by the Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) to be flown on the GOES-R). The algorithm retrieves temperature and moisture profiles and the derived products including total precipitable water (TPW), layer precipitable water (LPW), lifted index (LI), convective available potential energy (CAPE), total totals index (TT), Showalter index (SI), and K-index (KI) from clear sky radiances within M by M ABI field-of-view (FOV) box area. This document contains a description of the algorithm, including scientific aspects and practical considerations. It is divided in the following main sections"--Abstract.
