Included are letters, largely congratulatory, from friends and colleagues in journalism and literature, concerning Winter's poems and reviews. Among the correspondents are Isaac Hill Bromley (1833-1898) and John Rose Greene Hassard (1836-1888). There are also contracts between Winter and his publishers, James R. Osgood and Company, 1880.
