註釋THE KANSAS SEED GROWER is a history of the events leading to the establishment of a seed certification program in Kansas and its development over a period of 55 years. Seed growing provides an interesting and often profitable portion of the farm operation. Its greatest ccontribution is in providing, through the members of The Kansas Crop Improvement Association, high quality seed of crop varieties adapted to specific growing conditions. It is my intention to present a rapidly moving picture of seed certification. In an effort to avoid monotony, details that are not essential to the progress of the discussion are often omitted. Due to the nature and timeliness of the material the chapter divisions are based on subject matter rather than a chronicle. With this form of presentation the sue of repetition and flash back often promotes clarity."--Preface.
