Research on Nonisentropic Gas Dynamics
註釋The four problems that were investigated are (1) the development of a probe to measure molecular speed ratio and its application in nozzle flows and free-jet expansions, (2) surface measurements (heat transfer, skin friction, and surface pressure) on a sharp flat plate and on wedges in hypersonic flows in the transition from free-molecule to continuum flow, (3) pseudo-transpiration at an orifice and its effect on measured pressures, and (4) studies using speed-ratio probes to determine the structure of the viscous shock layer on a sharp flat plate. The report summarizes the results of those investigations.
