Country studies of external experts
註釋The Centre for Security Studies and Conflict Research at ETH (Note pour ed: full name not given) in Zurich and the Swiss Peace Foundation in Berne jointly manage an Environment and Conflicts Project. The Project investigates the relationship between environmental degradation and violent conflict. Scholars associated with the Project see resource scarcity as a threat to security, especially at sub-national level in poor countries and this volume assembles the case studies conducted for the Project by external experts that demonstrate this link. They include ecological studies from Algeria, Botswana, Brazil, Chile, China, the Lower Mekong Basin, the Mauritania-Senegal border zone and the shared river basins of Mexico and the United States. The Algerian case study is written in German, the others are in English. (Adapted from Publisher's Abstract).
