註釋This is a book that consolidates years of learning as a psychotherapist, starting with hypnosis, mindfulness, and other psychotherapy approaches, and gradually learning how to superbly integrate these to help his patients in the clinical setting through the use of EMDR therapy. This book is the result of both his clinical and research experience. In addition to involving many hours of consultation and study there is no doubt that this book delves into two areas which, for me, are crucial in the field of psychotherapy: attachment and emotions. He approaches them from a neurobiological perspective without forgetting the way in which we perceive and are affected by our first years of life: our beliefs. The PARCUVE model is the foundation on which the treatment with his patients will be subsequently substantiated. Different approaches will be used to work with emotions, trauma, case comprehension, patient preparation, dissociation, resources to stabilize the person before working with parts, defenses, and phobias, which may emerge when addressing the problems. All of this is presented without forgetting the importance of working with the body as a reflection of what goes on in our present lives.this is a highly recommended book for professionals whom it might help to understand the problems of their patients from a more integrative approach, as well as for the general public whom it might help to see the origin of their fears, anxiety, blame, shame, etc. Throughout their lives, patients may feel these emotions without being aware of their neurological and social origin. It is important to highlight the author's training; first as a biologist and later on as a psychologist, which makes this read highly interesting and practical for professionals working in the mental health field. The book is accessible to every kind of public in general and to psychotherapists in particular. I hope all of you, therapists and readers, will find it useful. This book is the ensemble of a multitude of readings on different aspects of the workings of the brain and the influence it has on our mind and our relationships with others. I have written the book I would have liked to have found a few years ago when I started gathering information about all these topics. I have presented it as a journey in which I start with our emotions and relationship with others during the first years of our life; it is a journey that shapes the way our mind works.
