Charles Friederick Martin Hahn was born on 18 October 1848 in Mechlenberg, Prussia. He immigrated to the United States in 1866/67 when he was 18 years old. Charles married Rosa Ohmenhauser 19 Janurary 1872 in Cleveland, Ohio. They were the parents of seven children, five of whom lived. Descendants lived primarily in Ohio, California and elsewhere.
