註釋
Two 18th-century official documents relating to parcels of land in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. The first is a warrant dated August 31, 1750, signed by James Hamilton, directing Nicholas Scull to survey a sixty-acre plot of land on behalf of Joseph Slass. A handwritten note in the lower left corner of the document directs Thomas Cookson, Esq. to execute the warrant, and is signed by Nicholas Scull. The second document is a large vellum deed dated May 23, 1774 for an estate called Auchline in Tyrone township, to Harry Gordon, sealed and witnessed May 26, 1774. A large wax and paper seal with ribbon is attached to the deed; a smaller seal accompanies the witness' signature on the reverse.
