The Hundred Years War
註釋

The Hundred Years War spanned over a century of conflict between France and England from the fourteenth into the fifteenth century. It was a unique conflict which directly involved all fo the Low Countries, France, England, Burgundy, Switzerland, the Holy Roman Empire, Spanish Kingdoms, Portugal and Scotland. Through this constant Western warfare many changes in the means of fighting wars evolved. In short, it was the first modern war. In this innovative new history, Kelly DeVries explores just how these conflicts constituted modern war, covering both the events, in a chronological narrative and then the developments in the means of fighting, including the rise of infantry, the decline of chivalry, the use and abuse of mercenaries, the introduction of gunpowder the the centralisation of resources.
