This report presents the results of a January 1986 survey of oiland gas companies regarding the impact of the Western Accord andprovincial royalty changes introduced in 1985 on their capitalexpenditure intentions. The results presented here do notrepresent a forecast of capital expenditures, but rather providean indication of the capital investment intentions of the oil andgas industry prior to the dramatic decline in world oil pricesand of how those intentions were influenced by the Western Accordand the provincial government royalty changes.
